Do you have a degree in music? Do you wish to improve your artistic level as a performer? Are you looking for advanced marimba training enhanced by artistic research? You can prepare your entrance to the professional music world: learn repertoire useful for competitions or auditions and deepen your understanding of musical interpretation. International renowned marimba virtuoso dr. Ludwig Albert created and founded since 2004 a marimba department offering Europe’s first official marimba Master’s degree at the renown Antwerp Royal Conservatoire (known as Europe’s largest Art faculty) and later on also at the LUCA University College of Arts (known as one of Europe’s oldest Universities). Helping to drive this program is his acclaimed innovative Movement Method designed to reach an ultimate sound and musicality through body controlled sound production. The pedagogic effectiveness of his approach, based on 30 years of experience, is reflected in over 85 obtained Competition prizes by alumni of both renowned marimba departments. Ludwig Albert welcomed students from abroad in the Bachelor, Master, Postgraduate and Doctoral program. Alumni embarked a career as marimba soloist and obtained international major teaching- and orchestral positions and contracts as endorsing- and recording marimba artists.

The Master marimba & Postgraduate concert soloist marimba degrees are offered for those wishing to specialize fully on marimba in the class of Dr. Ludwig Albert and assistant Prof. Rodrigo Marques. In addition Dr. Albert welcomes in his marimba class as well Bachelor & Master percussion/accent marimba students who enters the percussion class of Prof. Koen Wilmaers. The accent marimba percussion students can expand the bachelor’s curriculum with a marimba accent, whether or not with a view and preparation to the master’s degree in marimba. This is not an obligation, but it is an excellent opportunity to take lessons already in the Bachelor’s degree from Dr. Ludwig Albert, principal study teacher in marimba. Further on the accent marimba program is also offered to Master percussion students. It is also possible to do simultaneously, both, the Master marimba & percussion program.
